Revitalizing Baltimore’s Tourism Landscape

Project Category:

Client Name: Visit Baltimore/ Baltimore Convention & Visitors Bureau

Year: 2014

Project Website: http://baltimore.org/campaign/visit-baltimores-unique-experiences

Business Challenges

Visit Baltimore wanted to launch a new Experiential Tourism initiative with attraction partners to drive visitation following the War of 1812 Bicentennial celebration in 2014. They also desired to revitalize the city’s tourism landscape with new, unique Baltimore attraction experiences.

Solution

Veneto Collaboratory designed and developed a collection of new experiences with Visit Baltimore attraction partners. Attraction partners included Museums, Historic sites, Restaurants and Local attractions to provide a wide array of offerings.

Outcome

Veneto Collaboratory engineered a dozen new experiences with historic sites, museums, culinary venues and the National Aquarium in Baltimore. These experiences enabled Visit Baltimore to promote the city as an Experiential destination to Conventions, Meetings, Group Travel, Reunions, Local Groups and Leisure visitors.

The Experiential Development process is a must for Destinations and Attractions that want to create innovative experiences!
