Corpus Christi CVB Drives Visitation and E-Commerce with Online Vacation Packages

Project Category:

Client Name: Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau

Year: 2012

Project Website: http://www.visitcorpuschristitx.org/

Business Challenges

Veneto Collaboaratory was engaged to drive visitation with the relaunch of an online booking platform and to create point-of-sale consumer travel packages on the CVB website. Additionally, the project required engaging Corpus Christi attractions, lodging and restaurant partners to participate on the booking platform and to align the CVB packaging strategy with promotions, marketing and sales

Solution

Veneto Collaboratory vetted, recommended and implemented a dynamic booking platform with the CVB. Corpus Christi attractions and lodging partners were converted to the online platform in order to build travel packages. A series of new, compelling vacation packages for consumers were launched which enabled the CVB’s online team to use online intelligence to drive sales conversion.

Outcome

Veneto Collaboratory and the CVB created more than 20 new consumer vacation packages to sell online. Key attraction and lodging partners were converted to the CVB’s online platform. Veneto Collaboratory and the CVB’s Marketing team implemented a marketing matrix to align sales, marketing and promotional activities to drive online bookings. The CVB saw an 84 percent increase in online bookings from 2011 to 2012.

Due to your work, the Corpus Christi CVB was able to accomplish in less than six months what takes most DMOs over a year to implement. We saw an 84 percent increase in bookings from 2011 to 2012.  We look forward to Phase II to drive our shoulder season. I would highly recommend you to any DMO and look forward to our collaboration in the future.
